In this article, our goal is to explain how to buy cryptocurrencies via Peculium MyAccount. It is divided in 2 chapters:
I. Pass the KYC (Know your Customer) procedure.
II. Purchase Cryptocurrencies.
In case you never bought any crypto before, do not be worried. Buying them on MyAccount is straightforward. The first step is to create your account. Please refer to the Link for a tutorial on how to create an Account on Peculium.io.
I. Pass the KYC procedure.
Once logged into My Account every user needs to pass the KYC procedure. This is to ensure that we are compliant with global fraud prevention standards.
Users will have to:
Upload your photo ID: This would be your passport or a photo of your driver’s licence.
Upload your proof of address: A current photo ID as long as it lists your address or this can be a recent bill which states both your name and address and is no older than 3 months.
Upload a selfie of yourself: A picture of you holding your photo ID and a sign showing the date the photo was taken and the sentence “Peculium”
This procedure should take a couple of hours to be validated.
II. Purchase Cryptocurrencies
All registered users are now able to buy some of the major cryptos directly via the dashboard. Supported currencies at the moment are the following: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), BitcoinCash (BCH) and Ripple (XRP).
In order to purchase Cryptocurrencies users will have to select the Dashboard tab and for example they wish to buy Ethereum, they will have to select Ethereum tab and click Buy Ethereum:
By clicking on Buy Ethereum, a window will pop up to choose a method of payment between Credit Card and Bank Account.
You can save your Bank details before placing your Order by clicking on the My Bank Accounts tab at: My Bank Accounts where you can add a new Bank Account.
For example the user chooses to pay by Credit card as payment Method. Then he will be requested to select the Cryptocurrency he wishes to buy which is Peculium
Next step would be to add a new Wallet. This can also be done before placing an order by clicking on My Wallets tab at: My Wallets.
They will have to select Ethereum Wallet, then add his wallet address and name the wallet as he chooses.
Do not use the address from an exchange.
Next step is to add the amount of € users want to spend on their purchase.
Note:The minimum amount of purchase at the moment is 500€ and fees are 3.92%.
Users can check his Order Confirmation, then they will have to click the I Agree box and confirm the Order.
Once users confirm the order he will have to select the means on payment where he will be directed to a secure payment website.
Depending on your bank, you may be redirected to your bank’s authentication page before the validation of your payment.
Secure payment with SSL encryption.
As soon as the card information is filled and the Order is confirmed they will be able to see it at My Orders tab: My Orders. The order will be pending until Peculium receives the €.
Once the Order becomes active, users then can click on the Buy ETH button and a window will pop to confirm the Purchase.
If the users are happy with the price of ETH at the given time they will have to Click Buy and confirm the purchase.
After the Order is Confirmed the Ethereum will be sent to his Ethereum wallet in a couple of hours.
